Who We Are

Constructing Excellence

G4C is made up of regional hubs from across the country, led by Regional Chairs who direct activities at a local/regional level. These activities are overseen Nationally by the G4C National Chairs who engage with the regional committees to drive forward the network and continue to provide opportunities for the younger generation of construction to find camaraderie, share ideas and use the network as a platform for getting their voices heard in industry.

The G4C network is an opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative industry thinking and best practice in the sector.

Position: G4C Regional Chair: Sussex
Categories: G4C Regional

In 2021, I graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Construction Project Management. Since then, I have been working as the New Business Manager at Trinity Homes, where we specialise in delivering new-build residential developments for local authorities, housing associations, and private developers throughout Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

My primary role involves tendering for a range of residential projects, which includes estimating project costs and preparing bids that address the client’s quality requirements. However, I am also committed to inspiring young people to consider careers in the construction industry. I’ve partnered with schools, colleges, and universities to organise site visits, offer work experience, give career talks, and engage in various career activities. It’s essential to help the next generation view the construction industry positively and recognise the rewarding career opportunities it offers.

At the same time, I believe there’s often too little attention given to supporting those already in the industry. Networking can be intimidating for many, which is why I’m passionate about creating safe spaces where individuals feel confident and comfortable building connections. That’s why, in October 2024, I joined G4C as a committee member. Networking plays a critical role in professional growth, and through this experience, I’ve already had the pleasure of meeting incredible people. It’s been especially rewarding to witness others expand their networks as well.

Amy joined the construction industry through a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship Programme with OCU Group, back in 2023. She came straight from A-Levels and is currently in her 3rd year at Salford University. One of her first responsibilities was aiding with rolling out a new system across the company (Payapps), she had to run tutorials, answer queries and make step-by-step guides. She then shifted her focus to Commercial Reporting and Management, whereby she completed monthly and weekly CVRs for two of OCU Group’s Intercompanies as well as completing data analysis reports. She has recently started splitting her week between the estimating and commercial department which will allow her to gain more experience needed for her career journey.

Amy’s aspiration to join G4C stemmed from her enthusiasm towards supporting young professionals and contributing to the growth of the community. She has already taken part in multiple college careers events, where she spoke about the industry and the apprenticeships it offers, she is keen to continue this outreach as a member of G4C as well as continuing with networking events and awards evenings.
