Environmental awareness is vitally important to Red7Marine and they work hard to ensure that the marine construction projects have a minimal impact within the areas they operate. They are now looking to move into markets that not only provide them with more opportunities but allow them to contribute to a more sustainable future. Combatting key issues of climate change, environmental protection, and energy supply.
They continually invest in training and education which allows the growth of their team. This has led to partnering with organisations such as Building Heroes, and Energising Harwich working within the local community and the Armed Forces Veterans networks, taking on various intakes of trainee Barge Masters and offering opportunities for CPD. All these initiatives allow Red7Marine to promote a culture of growth from within. This has also involved finding ways they can support the employee’s mental health and wellbeing.
They have continued to support their clients and their operations whilst navigating through the difficulties of the global pandemic. This led to the development of the Vendor Alliance offering. The Vendor Alliance allows Red7Marine to tailor a bespoke solution to their clients that suit their different needs, offering further confidence and surety in these challenging times. Nonetheless, they are committed to offering professional support throughout the full life-cycle of their projects.
Red7Marine implemented a mentoring programme Your7Mentor, within the business to support the wellbeing of its staff. Red7Marine’s survey results revealed a staff satisfaction and mental wellbeing rate of 97%. Peter Cowie, Trainee Barge Master comments:
“I have regular mentoring sessions with Red7Marine’s Head of QHSE. Having built a trusted relationship with Mark, I feel I can openly speak with him on a personal and professional level, enabling me to raise any concerns I have and knowing that he has my back. Mark does not look at the benefit of the company but is always concerned about the wellbeing of individuals and discusses the best approach for moving forward.”
