Research into retentions in the construction sector

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has commissioned Pye Tait Consulting to produce a detailed evidence base about the practice of holding retentions in the construction sector. This research will be used to help inform a Ministerial review considering the use and impacts of retentions.

Pye Tait has recently launched an online survey, aimed at capturing the perspectives of employers in the construction sector about this important topic. The survey can be accessed here: www.pyetait.com/constructionretentions

As they are trying to get as robust/detailed an evidence base as possible, the survey is probably best suited to a Finance or Managing Director who would be able to provide accurate facts and figures. Obviously all data are confidential and no individual respondent will be identified by name.
