Constructing Excellence

Nick started work with Tilbury Douglas as a Trainee Engineer and gained MCIOB at the young age of 24. Gaining valuable experience working on several projects in many different Sectors and his Contracts Manager and mentor Sean Purtill who had recognised Nick’s potential and ambition and has supported Nick throughout to become an integral member of the Midlands Delivery Team. Nicks organisational skills, focus, attention to detail and innovative approach led to his promotion from Assistant Site Manager to project Manager within the space of 4 years!

Nick has developed a loyal and dedicated team of colleagues and supply chain members creating an inclusive and supportive network and working environment. Nick has won a Considerate Constructor Gold award several times for his work at Leicester Royal Infirmary and we are sure he was denied another with an extremely high score of 46 out of 50 at Cedars Academy however, the awards were cancelled due to the Pandemic! He has also won two bronze awards and a silver on other previous projects.

He has implemented many interesting, innovative, and award-winning initiatives that have improved the smooth and successful running of his projects. Nick and his team have added value with these initiatives not only to the projects but also to the local communities they serve. For example; the QR code innovation from which he gained a CCS innovation award.
