Sitting proudly on the South of York Road, SOYO is the newest multi-use neighbourhood in Leeds City Centre. Once complete, the wider £300 million, state-of-the-art complex will offer over 1,000,000 sq ft of space to live, work and enjoy, including some of the largest green space within the city, a hub for arts and culture alongside the highest quality residential builds and public courtyard.
Bordering some of the city’s largest and most creative establishments, including Leeds Playhouse, Leeds College of Music, BBC Studios, and Northern Ballet, this landmark development extends Leeds’ cultural quarter, transforming the lives of those living and working in the area.
Bringing new life to this part of the city, Caddick Construction delivered Moda, New York Square, part of the wider SOYO development, on behalf of Moda Living. The project saw the construction of two c-shaped, 16and 17-storey, built-to-rent apartment blocks. The development is home to 515 high-quality unique one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with two commercial units on the ground floor, both of which achieved BREEAM ‘Very Good’ upon completion. These homes also host a range of on-site amenities, such as shared lounges, flexible workspaces, rooftop gardens, health and wellbeing facilities, and a 24/7 gym with fitness studios. Alongside this, a basement-level car park was constructed to facilitate 73 cars, cycle, and motorbike parking.

- First building in Leeds to be awarded top level, three-star certification from global accreditation body. Not only did this make Moda, New York Square the healthiest building in the city to live in, but it made Moda the global leader in three-star Fitwel certified residential buildings.
