SME of the Year Winner
M&Y Maintenance and Construction were worthy winners of the SME of the Year award. They have worked hard to overcome challenges facing construction over recent months, most notably COVID, Brexit and the war in Ukraine, and have shown great resilience by achieving continued growth despite these uncertain times. Working at full capacity in challenging circumstances they have maintained high customer service levels of 80%, with 84% of repairs
completed right first time.
M&Y take great pride in supporting their staff and are leading the way forward with accreditations such as Investors in People Gold, LEAD programmes and high apprentice development. They provide their workers with opportunities for training within their field and access to 24/7 mental health support, ensuring a high level of staff satisfaction and retention.
As an organisation, M&Y have demonstrated their commitment to adding social value to their local communities by engaging in a number of charitable projects and intiatives. They have also taken steps towards reaching Net Zero by 2050 by introducing hybrid working for their employees to reduce staff miles and carbon emissions, use of AD Blue in their current fleets and an aim to begin implementing new electric vans.
