G4C National Co-Chair – Jack Cook Steps Down

Constructing Excellence
We are sad to announce that Jack Cook will be stepping down from his role as G4C National Co-Chair. Over the last 7 years, Jack has played a key role in growing the network, championing the achievements of young professionals through the G4C Awards, and creating opportunities for the next generation across the built environment sector. His passion, leadership and commitment have helped shape G4C both regionally and nationally, and we are incredibly grateful for his contribution. While we will be sorry to see him leave the role, we wish him every success in the future and look forward to following the next chapter of his journey.

Jack Says…

After an incredible journey with G4C, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as National Co-Chair.

My G4C journey began in 2019 as a committee member of G4C North West, before progressing to Regional Chair and ultimately National Co-Chair. Throughout that time, I have had the opportunity to work with talented and passionate people from across the industry, help create opportunities for the next generation, and contribute to the continued growth of the network. Seeing the positive impact G4C has on young professionals across the built environment sector has been a privilege.

Some of my proudest memories include helping establish and deliver the first G4C North West Awards at Pen & Pencil, the 2024 G4C National Conference, and speaking at the Constructing Excellence National Conferences in both 2025 and 2026. These events, alongside the many regional G4C awards held across the UK, provide a fantastic platform to celebrate apprentices, students, graduates, trainees, mentors, future leaders and organisations that are making a real difference in supporting and developing the next generation within our industry. It has been incredibly rewarding to see so many deserving winners recognised for their achievements, with regional Future Leader winners also progressing to the national Constructing Excellence Awards to compete for the prestigious national title. Seeing many of those individuals go on to establish successful careers has been a real highlight of my time with G4C.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me during my time as National Co-Chair, including fellow board members, regional committees, industry partners and the wider G4C community. The friendships, experiences and opportunities that G4C has given me are something I will always be grateful for.

Whilst I am stepping down from this role, I am delighted to be continuing my involvement as a committee member of Constructing Excellence Manchester, where I look forward to supporting the continued promotion of collaboration, innovation and best practice across our industry.

G4C has a very bright future ahead, and I have every confidence that the next generation of leaders will continue to grow the network, support one another and create even more opportunities for those coming into our industry. I will always be a passionate supporter of G4C and everything it stands for.
