Constructing Excellence Annual Conference 2027

People Powered: Placing people at the heart of an AI-enabled built environment
AI is transforming construction, offering new opportunities to improve predictability, productivity and performance. But if people are our greatest asset, how do we use technology to help them make better decisions with greater confidence?
The 2027 Annual Conference, taking place on Wednesday 27th January at BMA House, will explore People Powered: Placing people at the heart of an AI-enabled built environment.
Throughout 2026, Constructing Excellence has explored two connected themes: artificial intelligence and health, safety and wellbeing. Both are ultimately shaped by culture, leadership and people.
Chaired by Paul Beeston of RLB, our AI programme has examined the people, process and technology factors behind successful AI implementation, from skills and ethics to governance and practical use cases.
At the same time, health, safety and wellbeing remain central to the future of the built environment, requiring more than compliance alone. They call for a culture that places people, behaviours and leadership at the centre.
Join us on 27 January 2027 to explore how AI, health, safety and wellbeing can come together to create a safer, healthier, more resilient and more human–centred built environment.
