Cripps Health Centre

Constructing Excellence

This project comprised the design and construction of a new primary health centre in Nottingham and is the largest single-site health centre in the UK serving over 44,000 registered patients.Set in a woodland environment, this state of the art health centre is based in the heart of the University of Nottingham campus surrounded by Halls of Residence. This new building offers first-class medical facilities and a greater choice of NHS services. It boasts 31 GP consultant rooms, one 4-bed GP patient observation room, an on-site pharmacy, physiotherapy room, GP enhanced procedure room, 2 GP treatment rooms, 9 mental health rooms, 1 GP seminar room and 8 dental treatment rooms. The project replaced the existing Cripps Health Centre on the same campus and provides a holistic approach to primary health and dental care for the University and wider community. The project was realised through a £9 million donation received from the Cripps Family, a benefactor with a long time relationship with the University. The University of Nottingham Health Service is situated in the Cripps Health Centre on the main University Campus, University Park. The practice provides health services for students and staff at the University and their families.
