Conlon is an award-winning business, formed in 1961 by the 5 Conlon Brothers, with a turnover of approximately £50m, having successfully delivered over 1,200 projects for 350 clients. The company is today managed by a board of seven, two of whom are second-generation family members. 95% of our staff are based in Lancashire and 85% of our supply chain are procured within the North West region.
Our collaborative ethos is reflected in the fact that 85% of our workload is now procured through partnering. We undertake general construction throughout the North West, from Cumbria to Cheshire, Blackpool to Barrowford, with an enviable reputation for delivering high-quality projects. Our client base comprises public sector organisations, local authorities, universities and large private clients. In the private sector we have substantial work experience in all areas of construction with a balanced portfolio which includes commercial, industrial, leisure, health and retail.
Conlon is familiar with all routes of procurement including frameworks, partnering, negotiated and traditional tendering. Since 2001, we have successfully delivered 172 partnered projects (total value £379m) across 16 public sector frameworks. Through these frameworks, we have worked with numerous clients on multiple occasions, engendering a collaborative ethos in order to continuously improve our delivery process for our clients, ourselves and our supply chain.
