In our approach to reaching NZC we re-purposed an existing building creating a new company HQ in Swansea. By relocating to Swansea, staff commuting has reduced by 48,497 miles annually (based on the same staff working during ‘22/’23) reducing our carbon emissions by 13.01tC02e (13.15% CO2 reduction from staff travel to HQ).

- Environmental – In the financial year ending 2020 our Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions per £1m turnover was calculated to be 34.09 tCO2e. In the financial year ending 2023, this figure decreased to 25.77 tCO2e, showing a 24.41% reduction in our Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions intensity over the four-year period.
- Social – In the last three years we have achieved £1.89 – Average WG Community Benefits Toolkit Local Multiplier, 176 – Jobs created for NEETS/Disadvantaged workers, 1715 – Training Weeks comprising graduates, trainees, and work
experience, 2631 – Apprentice Weeks, 1143 – Average Targeted Recruitment & Training Weeks, £81,250 – Donations/sponsorship/in-kind labour for community and education initiatives, 44 – Average Considerate Constructor Score, 82% – Average Supply Chain Spend in Wales, 90% – Spend with Welsh SME’s. - Governance – As one of the largest Welsh Contractors, sound corporate governance is implicit in our Welsh values, our culture, our processes our flat organisational structure. We are committed to the development of Wales, and our governance, risk and compliance is aligned to The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, to ensure as a responsible Welsh business we are contributing to the long-term improvement of social, cultural, environmental, and economic well-being of people and communities in Wales.
