It has been an exceptional year for Salford-based RECOM Solutions. Now recognised as a leading specialist in Construction, Project Management, and Passive Fire Protection, the past year has seen more growth, and more work completed than any other in its 10-year history.

RECOM offers the full spectrum of construction and development services in one package; from analysis, planning and design to construction and aftercare. With an ambitious, high-performing team, RECOM provides an experienced mix of technical and practical understanding, which ensures that clients receive a high quality of service.

Founded in 2015 by Jason McKnight and Joseph Dillon, the company has grown from the humble beginnings of managing and constructing fit outs for food and beverage outlets to providing turnkey construction and consultancy services on new developments that are changing the Manchester skyline. RECOM has strength in depth with its team being split across the following divisions:

  • Project Consultancy: The ‘first name on the team sheet’, RECOM Solutions consult on all stages of a project, delivering client construction projects on time, on budget, and on specification from business case through to planning and delivery.
  • Construction: RECOM offers a full construction delivery service taking projects from pre-construction through to final handover.
  • Passive Fire Protection: RECOM are also recognised as industry leaders in Passive Fire Protection. This involves assisting clients to understand their duties under the Building Safety Act, specialising in the installation of passive fire protection, including fire stopping, fire doors, fire curtains and intumescent painting.

  1. RECOM Solutions has grown from a turnover of £12 million in 2022 to £26 million in 2024 with headcount also increasing from 36 to 52 in the same time-period.
  2. RECOM has completed more square meterage of development in the past year, when compared to any other in its history. This includes over 350 residential units across multiple schemes, each supporting local suppliers, employing local labour and contributing to several local social value initiatives.
  3. Our Passive Fire Protection division has grown rapidly from £3 million in 2022, to £5 million in 2024 with a projected £6 million in the coming year, with 70% already secured.
