HNW Architects is a leading architectural SME. With over 3 decades of experience and a team of approximately 45 highly skilled and dedicated professionals. Based in both Chichester and Hove, HNW is known for intelligent contextual design with an extensive portfolio that embraces a rich variety of projects. Our core belief is to “make possible”.
Our employees are the backbone of our business, our success is directly tied to theirs, so we provide them with the training, support, and resources they need to succeed, including a comprehensive CPD programme to keep them up to date with our ever-changing profession. We try to create a positive sense of community, bringing the team together in many ways and striving to look after each other and recognise each other’s achievements.
We believe the best results are achieved when all stakeholders in a project work together, so we encourage open communication between us, clients, contractors, suppliers and everyone in between. Our collaborative approach delivers successful projects to satisfied clients.
Three Winning Facts:
- Growth and expansion– In 2021, in the midst of COVID-related uncertainty and a struggling construction sector, HNW made the bold move of opening a new studio in Brighton and Hove. Alongside the established base in Chichester, this has enabled us to grow into new sectors, increase our geographic spread, improve our offering to clients, and diversify the work environment available for our staff, allowing us to attract the best possible talent.
- Sustainability and environmental credentials– HNW was an early signatory to the UK Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency movement and has operated an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System for over a decade. As active partners in the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge aiming to achieve net zero carbon for UK building stock by 2050, we have created our own Roadmap and Toolkit to achieve this. We have sponsored the training of additional in house Certified Passivhaus Designers and are currently working on the delivery of the first Passivhaus school in West Sussex.
- Nurturing and encouraging the next generation- We embrace cultivating potential new architects and giving back to our industry. We are actively engaged with numerous schools and colleges through career fairs and work experience and as official RIBA mentors, we currently mentor under and post graduate University students and we sponsor undergraduate and post graduate awards.
