Celebrating the best projects from our club awards in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire and Norfolk, we are delighted to present you with the winners of: Project of the Year, Integration & Collaborative Working, and Innovation.
The Dyson Building
– Winner of Integration & Collaborative Working Award
The Dyson Building is a true example of collaborative excellence.
As a dedicated STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) building, where sciences are taught alongside art, the Dyson Building embodies the ethos of collaboration in education; recognising the importance of collaboration between disciplines and the sharing of ideas in social learning spaces; applying knowledge learned in one subject creatively to another. It is an amazing facility to inspire the next generation of original thinkers and problem solvers.
The Digi-Tech Factory, City College Norwich
– Winner of Project of the Year
The Digi-Tech Factory is a striking four-storey building housing the very latest equipment and technology and over 60 miles of cabling to deliver the most up-to-date learning experience for digital students at City College Norwich (CCN). The building is a significant boost to digital skills in the region with a ground-breaking design that symbolises the forward-thinking and progressive digital study and discovery that will take place within it.
The Seismic Building
– Winner of Innovation Award
With the UK government pushing for platform-based construction solutions, the Seismic demonstrator building offers a glimpse of the future, representing the first example of a full system that has been delivered. Seismic provides the tangible evidence that is needed to drive a meaningful shift towards Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Designed in line with the government’s Construction 2025 targets, it exceeds them in every way, delivering a building that is 75% faster to complete, 70% lower in carbon impact and 47% better value than traditional construction. It even competes with other modular solutions, with an improvement of around 30% on speed.
