Driven by the passion, expertise, industry knowledge and people-centred focus of the directors, BE Design has developed a dedicated team of exceptional people that work hard to go the extra mile and exceed client expectations in the delivery of the developments across a range of business sectors.
Our staff numbers have increased during the pandemic by 30 per cent from 27 to 35, making our team more robust than ever as we have expanded our dedicated, in-house sustainability team. All of our new hires have been carefully selected during our recruitment process to bolster the expertise we hold within the BE Design family, in order to provide our clients with the highest quality of service possible.
With the multi-disciplinary nature of our services, this range of high-level expertise across our team allows us to provide additional benefit to any project or client through consultancy on areas that may be outside of the original commission. As well as this, we have also seen multiple internal promotions in recognition of the excellent work of our team members.
We take a holistic approach to our work to ensure minimal environmental impact and maximum benefit to the local community, with our design philosophy being driven by seven core principles including futureproofing, climate resilience, low carbon, mental and physical health and wellbeing. This allows us to create designs fit for purpose that will also stand the test of time and deliver real social impact on the communities they serve.
Our commitment to our staff has not gone un-recognised as we were named Property Week’s Best Places to Work in Property for 2020. This award examined our culture, benefits, diversity, and wellbeing practices – all of which were based on staff feedback and have become even more robust during the past year.
One of our big focuses as a business is to drive a more equal and diverse workforce for the construction industry. We actively promote the industry to the younger generation and champion equality and diversity within the sector, and we support different paths of entry to the industry via our commitment to apprenticeship schemes. We are currently open to applications for our next round of architecture and engineering apprentices, who would join the company in September 2021.
