Value Winner
Birkbeck University of London, 373 Euston Road was one of the Value Award winners at the Constructing Excellence National Awards 2022. In converting a pre-existing 1920s building, rather than moving straight to demolition, this project demonstrates value in a number of forms i.e., social, financial and sustainable, making it a fantastic example of delivering value and a well-deserved winner of this category.
The Birkbeck University project highlights the importance of collaboration in achieving value. The project team were appointed early in the process to ensure everyone understood the vision and aims and they also took part in regular meetings to make sure the project was on track and that the established principles remained high priority.
