Project Review

Learn from the experience:

  • Monitor the project right up to conclusion.
  • Carry out a post-completion review of the project (see OPERATING AND MAINTAINING).
  • Ensure the review covers all relevant issues.

The purpose of a post-completion review is to learn lessons from the management and delivery that can be taken forward to future projects (see Operational issue 5).

The contractor should be accountable for the kinds of questions in Appendix 12.

Appendix 13 offers further points for the evaluation of the whole project team.

Case Study

Project review will not just happen by itself. It is important to have a methodology that works. Some teams find it helpful to have someone independent to facilitate the feedback process. Here is a case study using the COLA process.
