Tilbury Douglas, Caedmon Hall

Constructing Excellence

Caedmon Hall exemplifies excellence in modern construction and refurbishment. Originally built in the early 20th century, it was last upgraded in 2004. This latest redevelopment revitalised a key educational facility, transforming it into a state-of-the-art learning environment that meets the evolving needs of students, educators, and the wider community. The project involved internal upgrades and external repairs, and the team remained mindful throughout to maintain the building’s historical integrity.

Externally roof slates, flashing, timber soffits and facias, downpipes and brickwork were carefully restored. Sensitive repairs were made to 192 timber sash windows to improve energy efficiency. By incorporating cutting edge digital technology, sustainable solutions, and a collaborative delivery approach, the project exceeded client expectations and ensured long term asset performance.

Caedmon Hall is a shining example of how intelligent design, digital innovation, and effective collaboration can transform educational facilities to support the next generation of learners.
