McCann’s is a family run business with John McCann, Managing Director, taking an active role in the everyday running of our business including the mental health approach. Their approach to Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) is based around the key principle that nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely. Their overarching HS&W principles, culture and strategy are driven by our Leadership Team. At a senior level from our Managing Director, through to Senior Managers and to our Workforce on the networks, they instil the fundamental principles that HS&W comes first. They empower all our people to be able to stop their work and the work of others if they feel unsafe. All managers are trained and empowered to manage the safety and wellbeing of all.
