Building sustainable solutions in the built environment. Ian is responsible for BRE Group’s strategy and performance. BRE has been a global leader for over 100 years. A profit-for-purpose business wholly owned by a charitable trust, BRE is using digital products and services to solve the built environment challenges of tomorrow. Before joining BRE Group, Ian was the CEO of Reall, a non-profit organisation that invests in and develops sustainable, affordable housing solutions in urban Africa and Asia. A leader in the built environment, Ian was an advisor to the United Nations Under Secretary General and Executive Director for UN Habitat, and is a non-executive director at WHG, a housing association providing affordable homes for rent, shared ownership and sale in the UK. In his earlier career Ian held leadership positions at Crown Agents, Restless Development and the UK government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
