Dr Ben Smith is an Associate Director at AtkinsRéalis with 15+ years’ experience working on climate risk and resilience both in the UK and internationally. He leads AR’s work on urban climate resilience, with a particular focus on climate-resilient design, and the development of municipal adaptation strategies. He is currently the climate resilience lead for Green City Action Plans for Cairo and Alexandria, and provides technical support to the Asian Development Bank to integrate climate resilience into project design.

Ben is a member of the Bristol Advisory Committee on Climate Change, providing independent technical advice to the City of Bristol in the implementation of its Net Zero and climate resilience goals.
