Constructing Excellence

The build required shoe-horning the facility into a corner of a complex manufacturing site around wide ranging existing services. An added complication of the structural design was the presence of Roman archaeology on the site forming part of the Ermine Way which has to be straddled by driven concrete piles and also incorporate the below ground Rehau air duct network. The brief also required a number of lean lift storage towers to be located. Limited space for lifting equipment and hold periods (when works were ceased to allow other critical GSK activities) required significant liaison and cooperation.
