Acivico Passivhaus Symposium

10 May, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm UTC+0

Background to the event ::

Passivhaus is now recognised as the world’s leading standard on low energy building. By prioritising fabric it delivers buildings that are more than 90% energy efficient than current UK building regulations. Many European countries have this standard as their minimum requirements and many exciting examples are now coming to the forefront within the UK industry too.

Benefits ::

In the current climate where council’s resources are stretched and ever increasing demands are made on its services – high buildings operational costs can be an unwanted liability in the long run.  As Passivhaus gains more popularity, capital costs are coming down and the evidence that the model is able to deliver what it promises mounts, allowing the Council and other organisations to reduce carbon emissions while saving on operational costs.
