Cundall is a multi-disciplinary consultancy, delivering built-environment projects around the world, with an emphasis on delivering sustainable solutions. Established in the North East in 1976, we have recently celebrated our 40th anniversary, and we now employ 845 people across 20 office locations globally. We have won numerous awards for our technical work and our approach to managing and developing our people.
We were the first consultancy in the world to be accredited as a One Planet Company by Bioregional. Our mission is simple: to provide great opportunities for great people, create fantastic build environments, and leave a positive legacy for our communities. In delivering this, we focus on the excellence of our technical designs, and we aim to be thought leaders in our industry. We value our relationships with our clients, our staff and our communities, and devote significant time and energy to nurturing these relationships. Most importantly, we are passionate about the work we do, and we are building a business which holds true to the values that have underpinned our success during the last 40 years, and which will continue to provide opportunities for our people for many years to come.
We are committed to helping build a pipeline of engineering talent and the best way to do this is to reach out to the younger generation and educate them on what it means to be an engineer. Cundall takes part in various outreach activities and local initiatives in communities and schools across the UK in the hope to inspire the younger generation and get them excited about the prospect of becoming an engineer. We encourage our early careers professionals to attend careers fairs, volunteer with charities and speak at local schools about their experiences as a young engineer, and have appointed a dedicated “STEM Champion” from within our Graduate population to help drive this. We also attend and present at STEM events such as the Big Bang Fair and Bring It On, and participate in programmes such as the Engineering Education Scheme (EES).
Cundall’s diversity and inclusion strategy aims to help us build a business that values inclusivity, fairness and respect. In building our talent pipeline, we are actively working to promote our entry-level opportunities to a diverse range of potential applicants, from different socio-economic, cultural, ethnic and educational backgrounds. We offer a range of early careers employment opportunities, including short-term placements, apprenticeships, undergraduate and graduate roles.
