Since the publication of the Hackitt Review in Spring 2018, the construction industry has, as you know, been working hard to meet the various challenges set for it.
The Construction Products Association has been involved with several critical elements of this activity, and has established its own Marketing Integrity Group (“MIG”) to specifically address Chapter 7 of the Review, which challenges how product information is made available to the wider supply chain.
Constructing Excellence member Adam Turk, MD, Commercial at Baxi Heating is chairing the Construction Products Association Marketing Integrity Group.
The group has issued a call for evidence on the following areas:
- ease of finding information
- Product substitution
- Completeness and correctness of information
- Products as part of a system, or use in a variety of applications.
The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. The CPA is seeking responses from across the supply chain, including architects, designers, specifiers, consultants, manufacturers, contractors, builders, merchants, maintainers, and indeed anyone who uses product information through the life of the asset. The survey closes on Friday 5 April and the findings and recommendations will be published in the autumn.
