News & Insights

Enabling the market to deliver value and outcomes

John Handscomb, Partner at Akerlof and Project Lead for the Market Enablers Workstream ponders two of the key questions that will enable the market to deliver value and outcomes. John discusses why we focus on days and pounds rather than outcomes and value and how the value toolkit can help solve the problems of unpredictability in a risky market. Read more here.

As a Project Lead for the Market Enablers Workstream, John describes the importance of the Value Toolkit for the society and emotional acceptancy of its metrics. The Toolkit is the market response element and a suite of tools to support faster, value-based decision-making process across the investment lifecycle. The major task now is to give greater definition to what society values are and to create methods and mechanisms for wider value to be understood, values and measured. More information here.

Join us at our Member’s Forum on 20 October where you will have an opportunity to share your views and insights on the market enablers for the Value Toolkit.
