Digital twins and how the Hub’s new interactive guide can help
A new Digital Twin Navigator – establishing a set of principles to ensure that digital technology and processes are considered at every stage of a built asset’s lifecycle – has been enabled by the Construction Innovation Hub. The Navigator supports our mission by driving the adoption of digital approaches to improve the delivery, resilience and performance of infrastructure. Client bodies – particularly those involved in producing business cases or procuring capital projects with digital twin considerations – can use the interactive guide as a framework to consider embedding digital twinning into an individual project. To find out more, catch this blog from David Philp in which he explains the new interactive guidance and framework in more detail.

Active travel – walking and riding a bicycle – is at the heart of Welsh Government policy to create a healthier Wales and connect our communities. It’s why Welsh Government introduced the Active Travel (Wales) Act in 2013 and it’s why more funds have been allocated and new guidance provided. Welsh construction can make the policy a reality on the ground, so, designers, planners and policymakers really understand what is meant by Active Travel?
