“Being appointed as co-chair of Constructing Excellence is a great honour. I am passionate about collaborating across our industry to drive greater efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. By working together to share our perspectives and knowledge we can navigate a complex landscape of emerging best practice and embrace the opportunities of adapting our UK built environment to meet societies’ needs. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to transform our industry for the better.”
Vince and Lucy will be taking over from David Whysall, Managing Director- Global Energy & Natural Resources at Turner & Townsend, and Mark Farmer, Founder & Board Executive at Cast Consultancy. “I have been privileged to have had the opportunity to Co-chair Constructing Excellence and pleased the movement has moved on over my term. I really believe Constructing Excellence is unique in bringing together all players of our industry who are bound by a common interest in finding opportunities for improvement. In no other place will you find such diversity across those involved, all working to collaborate to make our industry better. Thank you to all those who have supported the movement over the past few years, and I am sure Constructing Excellence will thrive well into the future – our industry needs it.”
David Whysall, Turner & Townsend
“It has been a real privilege to serve as Constructing Excellence’s co-chair since 2017. The movement aligns with so much of the thinking related to construction modernisation that I have advocated over the years. I believe the need for positive disruption has never been greater and I know that CE members will continue to champion this with vigour and energy as we face into the challenges of the future. I wish the new co-chairs, Vince Lydon and Lucy Howard all the very best alongside the continuity and wisdom that will be provided by Phil Wilbraham.”
