Originally built in 1150, the Grade I Listed Great Hall of De Montfort University (DMU) is of national significance and is one of the largest double aisled medieval halls in Europe.
The project was to conserve, transform and bring back into use the Hall, which was last used as both a Crown and Civil Court in 1990 into a Business School offering postgraduate and undergraduate business courses in the unique setting of this inspiring historic building. The preservation and Rejuvenation of the Great Hall offers a unique learning environment where students are encouraged to challenge convention and are given the opportunities and tools to think, create and inspire.
