Ben has made an outstanding contribution to Mott MacDonald and the
construction industry as a whole, demonstrating ability and potential across the board. Internally, he founded and chairs the Liverpool office Business Development Focus Group (BDFG) in addition to being the Liverpool Young Professional Excellence representative. Externally, he was recently chair of the North West Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Graduates and Students (G&S) committee and will commence Chairmanship of the ICE Merseyside branch in Summer 2017. Since leaving the University of Liverpool in 2013, Ben has maintained a strong commitment to giving back to the University through his
role in the Industrial Liaison Committee (ILC), representing Mott MacDonald.
More recently, he has been recruited as a ‘young mentor’ for students and
secured the position of guest lecturer at the University of Liverpool for a final year module where he will pass on his knowledge and experience to young engineers. Ben is working towards his chartership and will be sitting his review in Spring 2017, which will mean he will have achieved chartership status in less than 4 years.
