Ben Beebe

Constructing Excellence

During his time at Severn Trent, Ben has gone from strength to strength and has shown a fierce determination to prove himself to all that he has worked with. His contributions on the development and implementation of the Common Data Environment (CDE) has turned him into an invaluable asset to the organisation, with his work directly impacting 500+ colleagues throughout Capital and Commercial Services, and indirectly impacting hundreds more from our supply chain. The CDE is a document management system that supports the project delivery of over £2bn in capital expenditure throughout AMP7. It uses strict, ISO19650 compliant workflows to ensure that deliverables are consistent and of a high quality.

He has been a significant influence on the development of the CDE, working alongside an industry leading Director of BIM. It was through the close work with this director and his line manager that rapidly developed Ben and concentrated a large amount of experience into a relatively short timeframe. He quickly developed to the point that he led on the testing of the CDE, and developed relationships with the testing team ensuring that the delivered platform met all business requirements. Following on from this, Ben led on the development and delivery of the training sessions to our STW colleagues, and further led third party sessions. He has reacted quickly and adapted to each challenge that has been presented to him, in a logical and structured manner. He has demonstrated an acute self-awareness and adapts his behaviour and approach where appropriate.

Ben has continued to take on new challenges and opportunities and consistently delivers with his outputs. He’s consistently stretching himself to improve. An example of this is despite a fear of public speaking, he stepped forward and led group training sessions, totalling in hundreds of trained users. Ben has consistently achieved top gradings in his quarterly and annual reviews and has quickly made a name for himself at Severn Trent as a competent individual. His work stands out as he fully embraced the huge challenge of introducing a new system and new processes at the turn of the AMP, at a changing and challenging time for all. He has delivered an exceptional quality of work in each of his undertakings and demonstrated abilities beyond what would be expected of a typical graduate of his age. To summarise, Ben has achieved a huge amount in his short time at Severn Trent and I expect him to excel through a long and distinguished career.
