To build on our vision of being recognised as an industry leading civil engineering contractor of excellence, we concentrated our efforts just on the Midlands’ region and became strategic partners with our clients, establishing their needs and delivering solutions that significantly helped overcome their project challenges.
We targeted a number of larger flagship schemes with values of £25m +, whilst still maintaining our accident rate well below the industry average.
As part of our drive to become more customer orientated, we created a dedicated pre-construction team and expanded our earthworks division. Through early contractor involvement, we worked in collaboration with our clients, partners and consulting civil engineers to develop bespoke solutions that added best value and eliminated wastage in the project design.
We recognised our people as being one of our main assets. To ensure they possessed the necessary skills required to deliver on our objectives, we increased our training budget by 83.15%. We also expanded our bespoke apprentice/training scheme and partnered with Premier Training College.
The end result: turnover increased by 34.27% and our net profit by a record-breaking 72.01%.
