Four New Bailey

Constructing Excellence

Four New Bailey in Salford is a new office development that delivers both an outstanding place to work, fi t for British communications giant BT, as well as a masterclass in employing Digital Construction techniques. With a focus on boosting collaboration across the project team, expediting the resolution of issues prior to their development on site and breaking down barriers between disciplines – digital processes have been embraced and treated with equal importance to traditional methods of working.

Bowmer+Kirkland was keen to lead by example on these schemes and deliver a high-level service to The English Cities Fund, with this building part of the £1bn Salford Central masterplan.

Even though no specific BIMrequirements were specified for use on this project, Bowmer+Kirkland ensured Digital Construction procedures were placed at the heart of the project delivery team, appointing BIMBox as BIM Information Manager, with a remit to unlock integration, coordination and collaborative benefits for improved project outcomes. Collaborating with BIMBox and delivering digital construction excellence was key to this strategy, having previously worked together on over 50 projects, including a number of high-profile and award-winning schemes, including The Catalyst in Newcastle, where similar strategies have proven their worth.
