DESCRIPTION:Construction and the built environment have a huge role to play in tackling the climate crisis and delivering high quality sustainable buildings and infrastructure. It is a key concern for all built environment stakeholders and influences decision-making in all areas of the asset life cycle from design\, procurement\, construction and operation. \nJoin the Constructing Excellence Climate Action group for their next meeting on Wednesday 24th September\, where we will be joined by two excellent examples of how to understanding the costs and benefits of sustainability: \n\nTim Wheeldon of Zeal Hotels the UK’s first net zero hotel will be talking us through the approach they took to deliver high levels of sustainability and the benefits that is bringing.\nMark Rogers of Turner & Townsend will be talking about their embodied carbon calculator tool they use to understand the cost / carbon benefit of different materials\n\nThis event provides Constructing Excellence National members with CPD in partnership with BRE Academy.
