SUMMARY:Circular economy\, whole life approaches and MMC
DESCRIPTION:The Constructing Excellence Offsite Manufacturing & Technology Group is holding an online meeting to consider the role of circular economy and whole life approaches and the role MMC has to play in this important area.  As we move to a more sustainable and net zero carbon society we need to consider the whole life implications of our buildings and assets.  As MMC makes it easier to design and construct buildings and assets we take a look at the whole life aspects of this and how MMC can contribute to a circular economy.  We will be joined by a panel of experts with in-depth knowledge of MMC and whole-life approaches: \n\nDr Flavie Lowres from BRE will share ongoing research around Buildings as Materials Banks\nJoanna Clarke from SPECIFIC will draw on their experience\, views of and challenges based on the life cycle cost comparison exercise undertaken for the Active Office Project
