SUMMARY:Digital Drop-In January
DESCRIPTION:The pace and uptake of digital technologies in the sector is developing apace. The Constructing Excellence Digital Group will be holding informal ‘Digital Drop-Ins’ on the third Friday of every month to provide members with an opportunity to share ideas\, best practice and seek advice around the key issues impacting our digital journey. This time the session will be held on Thursday 21 January due to the unforeseen circumstances.  \nIn January we will be joined by 2 speakers followed by Q&A discussion around the topic: \n\nDerrick Madir\, Managing Director of Coubari\, a London-based IT consultancy for clients across the UK\, the Middle East and Asia with a developed specialism in the construction & financial sectors. \n\nDerrick will be speaking about cybersecurity\, explaining practical cyber security solutions\, greatest security threats based on case studies and how to limit the damage during a vulnerable period. It will be concluded with a strategic six-point plan for you to take along to your next meeting with IT on the subject of security. \n2. NCSC Presentation: \nThe Civil Engineering\, Architecture & Construction Engagement Lead from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) will be speaking about the ongoing work to improve the cyber security resilience of businesses in the sector. \nJoin our digital drop-in January for discussion on Cyber Security & Protection of National Infrastructure in Construction Sector.
