Jones Bros Ruthin (Civil Engineering) Co Ltd was founded in the 1950s by brothers Glyn and Elwyn Jones. In the mid-seventies the baton was handed over to Huw Jones our current chairman who is now in the process of handing over to the next generation of the Jones family. The family-run business specialises in providing solutions to some of the UK’s most challenging civil engineering projects, including a varied portfolio of work within renewable energy, flood and coastal protection, highways, infrastructure and waste management. The construction and engineering industry is a demanding and difficult environment affected by many influences including economics, politics, cultural and technological advancements. Jones Bros continues to succeed and thrive in this industry by remaining personable, flexible and by continually investing and developing a professional, well-trained, dedicated and highly motivated workforce. Jones Bros is committed to the continued career development of its people from apprentices through to site operatives, engineers, project managers, through to contract managers and support staff providing support and training to enable them to succeed. The company has an industry experienced and dedicated training department that provides high quality awarding body accredited training from the training centre in Ruthin North Wales. The team offer specialised plant and machinery training, which includes the modern apprenticeship training scheme, NVQs and all courses meet the Sector Skills Council (SSC) standards. This dedicated team led by the company Training & Workforce Manager continues to improve and add to the training opportunities on offer.
